  • Implementation of high-performance computer systems to solve biological problems in the fields of DNA sequence analysis and structural bioinformatics.
  • Genomics of pathogenic protozoan and bacterial microorganisms.
  • Modelling of protein-ligand interaction applied to the design of novel vaccines and drugs.

  • High-performance computer clusters (HPC) for the analysis of biological data.
  • Interactive computer systems for the visualization of the 3D structure of biomolecules.
  • Sequencing, assembly and annotation of microbial genomes with application to species of Leishmania, Leptospira y Anaplasma.
  • Molecular evolution and phylogenetics applied to pathogenic microorganisms, including SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
  • Predictive strategies for the identification of B- and T-cell epitopes for the design of vaccines within the paradigm of reverse vaccinology.
