TO-LAC Congress (1st Latin American and Caribbean Conference on Translational Oncology)

The Latin American Congress of Translational Oncology (TO-LAC 2026) will bring together researchers, physicians, students, institutions, and companies from the biomedical field to strengthen scientific cooperation in cancer research across the region.
Organized by INDICASAT-AIP in collaboration with academic and institutional partners, this event aims to promote translational research that connects laboratory findings with clinical advancements.


Congress Objectives

  • Strengthen scientific integration between Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions in the field of translational oncology.

  • Foster collaboration between basic, clinical, and public health researchers to accelerate the application of scientific knowledge for patient benefit.

  • Promote the exchange of experiences and the development of policies that advance equity in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

  • Create a training space for young researchers, clinicians, and graduate students.

  • Develop the Panama Declaration on Translational Oncology as a framework for regional cooperation.


Expected Participants

250 researchers, physicians, clinicians, students, patient associations, public and private institutions, and representatives from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
